Cartoon Teddy Bears
If you think about cartoon teddy bears, the Care Bears have got to be one of the most, if not the most popular of them all. The Care Bears were first introduced to the world back in 1981. They quickly became popular with kids everywhere. These lovable, colorful bears each featured a special logo, that in turn designates who they are and what their caring specialty is. Good Luck Bear for example, was a green bear with a shamrock on his belly. Funshine Bear was a yellow bear who had a sun on her belly. Other bears included Love-a-Lot Bear, Cheer Bear, Birthday Bear and Grumpy Bear.
Now, you can find the ten Care Bears and all their cousins for sale in street stores and also on the web. While these bears were popular in the 1980s, their popularity kind of waned in the 90s, particularly round when the Beanie Baby Craze took hold. Now the Care Bears have been reintroduced to a whole new generation of kids who seem to enjoy these colorful bears just as much as their parents did. There's even new animated movies featuring the Care Bears. The Care Bears movies always tell a valuable story and teach children valuable and morable lessons about friendship and kindness.
The Care Bears motif has been adopted by many nurseries these days. Expectant moms remember Care Bears from their own childhood, and want to introduce their own kids to the trend and core values. Not to mention that these bears are so adorable! The blue bears like Good Night Bear and Grumpy Bear suit well in a boy's room while the pink bears like Cheer Bear are a perfect match for a girl's room. Of course, all of the bears are really cute in either a boy or girl's room.
Care Bears are probably the most popular cartoon teddy bears, but there are a few other favourites. The Berenstein Bears are also a cartoon bear family from the 80s that are still very popular today. Do some browsing and you'll find more examples of cartoon bears from your childhood. You'll also find a great deal of downloadable clip art available for anyone interested in teddy bears. The first teddy bears actually derived from a political cartoon featuring Teddy Roosevelt, whom the bears were named after. Teddy bears and cartoons have gone hand in hand since their invention in 1902.
